Pizza Sauce

0 Category List: Miscellaneous, Vegetable

This sauce is really really easy and you can throw it together in no time. It is so much better than buying the jarred stuff and is perfect on homemade pizza.

Ingredients:

1 Can Died Tomatoes
2 Garlic Cloves crushed
1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1 tbsp Dried Oregano
1 tbsp Sugar
Salt
Olive oil

Method:

  1. In a sauce pan heat about a tablespoon of olive oil and add the crushed garlic. Fry for a minute.
  2. Add in the dried oregano and then the can of diced tomatoes.
  3. Add in the sugar, tomato puree, and a good pinch of salt. Let it simmer gently for 10 minutes.
  4. If you want a smooth texture you can use a hand blender at this point and blend the sauce in the saucepan.
  5. Spread on top of your pizza with your favourite toppings. Delicious!
